What is Your Goal?

When we all graduated high school and/or college we were all asked by someone older or in a position of power what our goals or plans or what we wanted out of life. Some of us wanted to basics which were get a good job/career, find someone to marry, marry, have kids, get a nice house with a white fence and a golden retriever and live a good honest life. That actually sounds great, but it's not for everyone. Some of those rogue people went off to attain or experience something completely different. They went routes in life. Instead of sticking to a genetic gameplan from their upbringing, they went off and did crazy things, weird things, bad things, odd things and so on. Some lived, some died, but they all experienced life in a different capacity opposed the standard. I will personally never knock a persons job or career choice, ever. Whatever people want to do for a living is their choice. Some choose a steady job in order to focus on a hobby or art on the side or some truly want to have a good strong family life. Others fall into a routine of life and become complacent about it and ya know what, that's fine! Not everyone on this planet is going to make amazing art, music, be able to hit 400ft home runs, run 4.3 40s, or dunk a basketball over the best players in the world. Some people just want to enjoy life and enjoy watching others conquer those amazing feats. But have goals, whatever they are, small or big, silly or realistic, cheap or expensive, have goals. Goals are a way to keep us honest and focused on moving forward, evolving as a person, as a human to better ourselves. Whether it be a sporty car, bigger house, island vacation or as simple as getting thru the work week so you can come see me at Quigleys on Saturday night or Sunday morning, it's a goal nonetheless, so focus on it and stick with it.
